Ghanaian finance teams buy accounting software for three jobs: keeping clean books in cedis while suppliers bill in dollars, producing GRA-certified invoices as E-VAT reaches every VAT-registered business, and getting a month-end close that does not depend on one person’s spreadsheet.

Almost every product sold in Ghana is priced in US dollars. The profiles below convert list prices to cedis at a dated rate, say which products integrate with GRA’s E-VAT system natively and which need a partner, and name the products we would not buy for a Ghanaian company.

Questions Ghanaian buyers ask

Is there accounting software priced in cedis?

Very little. Global products bill in US dollars; some local resellers of TallyPrime and Sage quote in cedis. We convert list prices at a dated mid-market rate on each profile.

Which accounting software connects to GRA E-VAT?

GRA offers its own invoicing system free of charge and an API for integrating existing ERP and POS software. Ask any vendor for a live E-VAT-certified invoice from a Ghanaian customer before you sign.

Do I still need software if I use GRA’s free E-VAT invoicing?

Yes. GRA’s system certifies invoices; it does not keep your general ledger, bank reconciliation, payables, inventory or management accounts.
